Meet Lindsay

Lindsay has had many unique experiences in her life, but she is first and foremost a child of God, a proud wife and mother of two, and a conservative woman full of integrity, grit, and resolve. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas, by her father and mother, whose cancer diagnosis at the early age of 13 brought her to the Lord, giving her purpose and drive ever since. She went on to be the first member of her family to graduate college, earning a bachelor’s in International Business and Finance, with a minor in Arabic.

With a variety of professional experiences across the private, public, and non-profit sectors, Lindsay is well-equipped to handle virtually any task. She began her career as an internal auditor in the energy sector and was quickly recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where she served as a Middle East Economic Analyst. She served senior U.S. policymakers, including the President of the United States, while pursuing her Master’s in International Development from George Washington University. While in Washington, D.C., she met her future husband, Michael.

It was during her time in D.C. that she discovered her passion for fighting on behalf of vulnerable populations. Her passion guided her to represent our nation abroad for two years as a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a diplomat, she led an interagency humanitarian working group to help alleviate Yemen’s humanitarian crisis during their civil war. After the birth of their daughter, Juliana, in the UAE, Lindsay and Michael decided to raise a family in a community that shared their conservative values. In 2018, they put down roots in The Woodlands, finding their church home at Church Project and later having their son, Jeremiah.

Despite the change in scenery, Lindsay’s passion for serving others and fighting for those that cannot fight for themselves continued. She served as the Economic Empowerment Director for a local non-profit to help rehabilitate sex trafficking survivors, during which time she realized how vulnerable our children are to exploitation. This prompted her to serve on the Protecting Texas Children Subcommittee for Republican Legislative Priorities in the 88th Texas Legislative Session. Her activism resulted in her recent induction into the inaugural Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) 40 Under 40 Fellowship Class.

Lindsay is an avid entrepreneur having recently started her second business, uThrive Academy, a one-stop economic empowerment shop for at-risk youth to get essential career and financial planning services. She also runs an award-winning photography business, Ruth & Rene Photography.
